The historical “Storchehus” (baroque house) was built in the 16th century. In the earlier days, it was used as an administrative building and later as residential and business house.
Today it houses a shop and a Greek restaurant. The gallery regularly hosts cabaret and musical performances as well as exhibitions.
The square in front of the “Storchehus” (baroque house) is decorated with the bronze sculpture “Viola 90” by the internationally known sculptor Jürgen Goertz. This surrealistic artwork is a homage to Anne-Sophie Mutter, a world famous violinist and honorary citizen of Wehr.
