Im Horbacher Moor bei Dachsberg-Horbach
As the Horbach Moor, representing a typical Black Forest highmoor, was declared a protected area in the year 1939 already, the destruction by peat cutting could be averted.
The car park for hikers ”Horbach Moor shelter” on the route K 6590 at Horbach is the ideal starting point for a hiking tour around the moor. Information boards provide many details about the moor. Near the Urberg crossroads, where the hiking trail ”Bruchhaldenweg” links up with the district road, you find a moor information point. Enjoy the bird’s-eye view into the moor from the observation platform.
