The biosphere area Black Forest is a model region in which the coexistence of man and nature is exemplarily developed and tested. The aim is to protect the cultural landscape and to preserve and develop valuable habitats for people and nature. The Black Forest Bisophere Area is based on EUROPARC Deutschland e.V.'s mission statement for UNESCO biosphere reserves. The Black Forest biosphere reserve comprises 29 communities in the south of Baden-Württemberg. Detailed information can be found on the website of the biosphere area.
